Sleep – A Foundation of Health

Sleep – A Foundation of Good Health

Each year, AMWA joins the National Sleep Foundation in celebrating Sleep Awareness Week®—recognizing that sleep is essential to the health and well-being of everyone, from physicians and students to patients. The American Heart Association now includes healthy sleep as part of its Life’s Essential 8™, the American College of Lifestyle Medicine identifies it as one of its six pillars of health, and growing numbers of advocates are calling for sleep to be recognized as a vital sign.
