SGHC has created 1-2 page factsheets on sex and gender differences in various medical topics. These factsheets are meant to be used as supplementary material to healthcare curricula, particularly in the clinical environment. Each factsheet was researched and drafted by a team of pre-medical and medical trainees, and then fact-checked and edited by an SGBM expert healthcare worker in the field.
Each topic comes with two versions: a reference factsheet in table format and a summary factsheet in crunchsheet format. The table form lists sex/gender differences and is intended for use as a reference sheet. The crunchsheet showcases key sex/gender differences and is intended for use as a teaching tool during rounds, lectures, and other educational activities.
These factsheets are not meant to guide medical treatment, but are for utilization in education to highlight and learn the sex and/or gender differences that are currently known and discussed in medical literature.
If you view and use our factsheets, please submit an evaluation so we can continue improving these educational resources!
