Stony Brook Medicine is expanding our academic Hospitalist Service as our inpatient volume rapidly expands. Openings available for both day time and night time (nocturnist) hospitalists. Each hospitalist is supported by either residents or a NP/PA. Salary is competitive and includes an opportunity to earn a substantial incentive. Hospitalist earns an additional $2,400 for every week of night service ($62,400 annually for a full time nocturnist). Reasonable patient load. Closed ICU. Rapid response attendance for your own patients only. Dedicated admitters in ED. 15 vacation days, 13 state holidays and 12 sick days annually. 5 CME days annually with $1,500 CME stipend. License renewal and DEA expenses covered separately. Comprehensive state and practice retirement benefits. Practice contributes 8% of the salary towards 401K. A broad range of specialty consultants are available 24/7 as needed so the Hospitalist is fully supported in clinical decision-making. Opportunities exist for career enhancement on the Stony Brook campus for completion of an MPH, MBA, research course, etc. The Hospitalist will provide clinical coverage primarily for acute medical patients on both the regular and step down units. Opportunities beyond clinical care at our tertiary medical center include involvement with the development and implantation of patient safety efforts, participation in clinical education, and participation in the development of clinical research. Rotation schedule 7 days on/off, 12 hour shifts while on clinical duties. Positions will include night time shifts.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFCIATIONS:

MD (or foreign equivalent). Board eligible/certified in Internal Medicine or board certified in Family Medicine. If board certified in Family Medicine, one of the following criteria is required;

• Family Medicine Residency with concentration on Hospitalist Medicine.
• One year current full-time hospitalist experience.
• Completion of a Chief Residency or GME approved fellowship program.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Two years of current, full-time hospitalist medicine experience. Experience with quality or research initiatives. Specialized training or fellowship in geriatrics or hospitalist medicine. Chief resident or similar leadership experience. PGY3s within 6 months of graduation or new graduates welcome to apply.

Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) is in search of a System Director of Breast Surgery to be responsible for the clinical and administrative leadership of Breast Surgery practices across the health system. Headquartered in Gainesville, Georgia, NGHS is a five-hospital, not-for-profit health system serving more than 1.6 million+ residents in more than 19 counties across Northeast Georgia. With a network of over 1,500+ providers representing 60 specialties, NGHS has a total of more than 1,000 beds across a Level I Trauma Center in Gainesville and other locations in Braselton, Winder, Dahlonega, and Demorest. The Breast Center in Braselton, Georgia, is a short 50 minutes northeast of downtown Atlanta and 45 minutes to the North Georgia Mountains.

Reporting to the Chief Physician Executive and President/CAO, this System Director coordinate clinical services for breast surgery, including the breast cancer program. Working with administrative leadership and clinician leaders, the Director will establish yearly performance goals for the program that are aligned with the vision and mission of NGHS. In partnership with NGHS directors, the Director will be accountable for all efforts to ensure the consistent delivery of high quality efficient and cost-effective patient care for the breast program and will also be responsible for promoting best practices through evidence-based medicine. The Director will ensure that the surgical practices meet established goals, including but not limited to breast program specific accreditation standards, patient safety, access, revenue cycle, patient satisfaction, and other clinical performance goals.

Position Summary

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seeks a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) physician for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor (commensurate with qualifications). • Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of infertility, endocrine disorders, recurrent pregnancy loss, and reproductive health conditions.
• Perform assisted reproductive technologies (ART), including IVF and related procedures.
• Participate in on-call coverage and shared clinical responsibilities within the division.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered, evidence-based care.
• Teach and supervise medical students, residents, fellows, and other trainees.
• Engage in clinical, translational, or basic science research aligned with REI.
• Participate in departmental and institutional committees.
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• MD degree or equivalent
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Completion of fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
• Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois.
