About

The AMWA Internship Program is open to premedical and medical student members of the American Medical Women’s Association. The internship involves playing an integral role in the organization, development, and implementation of a variety of AMWA’s projects and advocacy initiatives. Please view the projects tab for more information about the types of projects interns will undertake. Applications are reviewed and accepted on a rolling basis.

This internship is entirely virtual.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

SUMMER WOMEN’S HEALTH INTERNSHIPS

Summer offers a special opportunity to pursue Women’s Health Internship to advance AMWA’s work to improve the health of women. These will include regular and asynchronous working opportunities to advance specific projects within AMWA from early June through August. Each session will also include a skill building or training activity. All interns will be emailed the opportunity to sign up for the Summer Women’s Health Internships when they start.

Areas of Work

Depending on availability and commitment, interns may be involved in one or several projects. These projects range in scope and we intend to assign interns to projects that align most closely with their interests. This is not a list of ALL projects, as projects are continually added to our program. However, this is a general idea of what interns may expect to be involved in.
