ScholarRx Bricks are quick, interactive learning modules with built-in questions for medical students. These focus on helping students understand foundations and how to apply that knowledge in clinical settings.
With support from ScholRx and the International Association of Medical Science Education MERIC Grant, SGHC has developed Bricks focused on sex- and gender-based medicine across a variety of topics. Our bricks are hosted on the Brick Exchange platform, which provides free access to all medical school students and faculty.

By using a Gender Lens, we can examine any area of the medical literature and create a health-cased framework to consider how the multiple biopsychosocial spheres of influence contribute to a woman’s health.
The Canadian Gender Lens Tool was developed by Dr. Anna Day, van Koughnett, and Watson at the University of Ottawa, Canadian Gender and Health Collaborative Curriculum Project, 2007.
A Modified Gender Lens was created and assessed based on the original Canadian version at a German Medical school, 2017.
