Dr. Tianne Foster is a globally trained medical professional specializing in burnout prevention and workplace well-being, integrating conflict management as a key factor in team dynamics. As the author of Reality Check: Recognize Burnout, Prevent It, and Discover How to Live Well, she provides individuals and organizations with practical tools to prevent burnout and improve engagement. With a background spanning the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, she brings a global perspective to workplace challenges, offering actionable strategies to foster equity and well-being.
Sara Kim, Ph.D., George G. B. Bilsten Professor in the Art of Communication with Peers and Patients in the Department of Surgery; and, Associate Dean for Educational Quality Improvement at University of Washington School of Medicine
Dr. Sara Kim is a conflict management specialist at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Her work has been supported by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation for Humanism in Medicine and the UW Medicine Patient Safety Innovation Programs. She has spearheaded collaborative scholarly work published in leading medical education and specialty journals, focusing on communication skills for resolving conflict and navigating power hierarchies.

Pringl Miller, MD, FACS, has the clinical areas of interest, expertise, and research in the intersection and integration of general surgery, clinical medical ethics, and hospice and palliative care for high-risk surgical patients. Additionally, Dr. Miller has established herself as a content expert and visionary in the area of equity and justice for physicians and surgeons who experience workplace conflicts to support and retain talented under-represented clinicians in the workforce. Physician Just Equity and AMWA have collaborated on a series of webinars that aim to empower clinicians experiencing workplace injustices and shine a light on the impact of these injustices on the quality of patient care.
