Dr  Padmini Murthy, AMWA Global Health Lead, represented AMWA at various events during the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, held in March 2025.

  1. Murthy co moderated a panel discussion organized by AMWA on March 10 From Health to Equity: Women Shaping Global Progress Through Leadership and Care.
  2. Murthy was invited to speak at a high-level panel Beijing +30 Taking Stock of CSW resolution organized by African Union, UN Women, UN AIDS on March 17
  3. Murthy was an invited speaker at a side event “Beijing at 30 : Investing in Women to Build Access to Surgical Care organized by Operation Smile and co-sponsored by AMWA on March 20th at the Church Center
  4. Murthy co-moderated a panel titled Global Women’s Leadership in Making the Beijing Deceleration A reality on March 21st
  5. Murthy was invited to a reception hosted by the Kingdom of Saudia Arabia who chaired the bureau of the 69th CSW.

In addition Murthy has represented AMWA at international conferences in Kosovo and  Tiblisi Georgia in June and July 2025 and the UN High Level Political Forum in July 2025

Murthy was also invited to participate in a show on Georgian TV where she discussed Studio AMWA her own written poetry as therapeutic outlet to cope with stress.
