The webinar will focus on advocacy and include topics surrounding difficult conversations, understanding stakeholders, how to write to our legislators, and what skills we should gain now at the beginning of our careers.

Katrina Green, MD, FAAEM
AMWA Board of Directors 2024-36, AMWA Advocacy Committee Chair, AMWA Gun Violence Solutions Working Group Co-Chair
Dr. Green earned her BS in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University, her MD from Wayne State University and completed residency in Emergency Medicine at Indiana University. She began her career as an emergency physician in Nashville, TN and currently practices at Nashville General Hospital which is affiliated with Meharry Medical College, an HBCU. She spends her free time outside the hospital advocating for public health issues like reproductive healthcare and healthcare access, recently becoming more involved in the intersection of politics and medicine.
