Keynote Speaker: Marcia Faustin, MD, FAAFP
Dr. Marcia (Marcy) Faustin is a dual-boarded family and sports medicine physician and Associate Clinical Professor at the University of California, Davis, with joint appointments in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Family & Community Medicine. She serves as co–head team physician for UC Davis Division I Athletics, team physician for Sacramento Republic FC, and previously was co–head team physician for the USA Gymnastics Women’s National Team, including at the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Her academic interests include mental health in athletes, relative energy deficiency in sport (RED-S), and injury prevention in gymnastics. A former Division I track athlete and hall of fame honoree, she brings a comprehensive biopsychosocial approach to athlete care across the lifespan.

Posters – Call for Abstracts/Posters
AMWA 2026 Annual Meeting – Poster & Abstract Submissions
Deadline Extended to January 31 for physicians and residents/fellows (late fee applies). Posters received after that time will be accepted on a space available basis.
We invite students, trainees, residents, fellows, and physicians to share work that reflects this year’s theme of thriving, leading, and transforming in medicine. Submissions may include research, quality improvement, innovations, or compelling clinical cases that advance equity, leadership, and service.
Review Process
Abstracts are evaluated for clarity, relevance, impact, originality, and alignment with AMWA’s mission and meeting theme, and will be accepted as space permits.
If Your Abstract Is Accepted
- Presenters must register and pay the meeting registration fee.
- Accepted abstracts may appear in digital or printed conference materials.
- You may include late-breaking data in your final presentation up until the poster submission deadline.
Submission Guidelines
- All abstracts must be submitted via the online application form.
- Maximum length: 2,000 characters (including spaces); no tables or graphics.
- All authors must approve the submission.
- Primary authors may submit up to two abstracts.
- Non-refundable fee: $55 per abstract; $75 for late submissions.
- Categories include:
- Research (Background/Purpose, Methods, Results, Conclusion)
- Quality Improvement / Innovation (Background, Intervention/Innovation, Results, Conclusion)
- Clinical Case Reports (Background, Case, Clinical Significance, Conclusions)
- Do not include identifying information (author names, institutions, or cities) in the title or abstract body.
- Previously presented material may be considered with appropriate disclosure and updates.

Gala
The AMWA Annual Meeting Gala is an unforgettable evening celebrating the leadership, impact, and collective power of women in medicine. Join colleagues, mentors, and changemakers for an elegant night of connection, inspiration, and recognition as we honor those advancing equity and excellence in healthcare.
Gala tickets are available for $125 during registration. Plus-one gala tickets may also be purchased through your registration.
The Gala will include a Plenary Speaker, Fellowship Convocation, Awards Presentations, Studio AMWA Artist-in-Residence Presentations, and Presidential Inaugration.
