During the biannual reunion of the North American Based alumni of Siddhartha Medical College (SMCANA), Rangaraya Medical College, and Guntur Medical College, in Orlando Florida, Dr. Padmini Murthy, AMWA’s Global Health Lead, was the invited keynote speaker addressing a gathering of 1000 Indian American physicians at the weekend eventDr. Murthy was presented with a Special Appreciation Award for her passion and outstanding efforts in promoting advances in global health. Her work in representing the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) both at the United Nations (UN) and World Health Assembly (WHA) has been pivotal.
In bestowing this recognition, SMCANA, her alma mater, expressed how honored and proud they are that she has brought such laurels to this medical college and has become a stellar role model to future generations of students.
