The Premedical Division of AMWA is devoted to supporting premedical students on their journey to medical school. Our 3 -week Medical School Jumpstart Series prepares students for medical school applications.

The program is designed for students at any point in their premedical career. Students at the beginning of their college years will learn valuable lessons about the application process that will prepare them to apply in the future. Students planning to apply soon will receive interactive and hands-on support and guidance as they prepare their application materials.

The virtual three week program is structured as follows:

Access to virtual on-demand sessions on Personal Statement and Application Essays, Gap Year Discussion, How to be an Authentic, Yet Strong Applicant, Ways to Strengthen Your Application to Medical School

Live virtual sessions:

Week 1 (Feb 23) 7-8pm ET: Q&A: Insights from Admissions

Week 2 (Mar 2) 7-8pm ET: Medical Student Panel

Week 3 (Mar 9) 7-8pm ET: Tips for Secondaries and Interviews

These 3 sessions will be held on Zoom and recorded for future reference. Although the sessions are recorded, live attendance is strongly encouraged to facilitate interactive learning, collaboration, and questions.
