Celebrating over a decade of the AMWA Fellowship Program and the Largest Class of Fellows

The American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) proudly inaugurated its largest class of Fellows to date at the 2026 Annual Meeting, marking a significant milestone for the organization’s Fellowship program. Now in its 11th year, the program has grown steadily, recognizing physicians who have demonstrated sustained leadership, service, and commitment to advancing women in medicine and improving the health of women.

The distinction of Fellow of AMWA (FAMWA) honors individuals whose contributions reflect the organization’s mission and impact. This year’s record cohort highlights both the continued expansion of the program and the strength of a community dedicated to leadership, mentorship, and advocacy across the profession.

New this year, the Fellowship program introduces the opportunity for current Fellows to nominate colleagues for this distinction, further strengthening peer recognition and engagement within the AMWA community.
