AMWA Board of Directors member, Connie Newman, MD recently presented at the 6^th Emirates Diabetes and Endocrine Conference in Dubai on the “Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus” and “Defense of the 2013 U.S. (ACC/AHA) Cholesterol Treatment Guidelines.” She recently was also recently promoted to Professor of Medicine at New York University School of Medicine.
