Recognizing Excellence and Leadership of Women in Medicine

The American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) proudly presents the 2026 class of AMWA Fellows (FAMWA) — the largest in the organization’s history —with 27 distinguished women physicians recognized for excellence in medicine, advocacy, leadership, and service.

“Achieving fellowship status with AMWA is a testament to a physician’s enduring commitment to excellence, mentorship, and leadership,” said Dr. Susan Hingle, AMWA Immediate Past President and Awards Chair. “Our Fellows embody the spirit of advocacy, education, and integrity that defines AMWA. Their recognition as FAMWA reflects not only their professional stature but also their dedication to empowering women physicians and improving the health of women.”

Established during AMWA’s Centennial Meeting, Fellowship in AMWA is one of the organization’s most prestigious honors. Fellows may add the FAMWA designation to their credentials, signifying their sustained commitment to AMWA’s mission and to advancing women in medicine. About FAMWA
