If you’re a medical trainee trying to balance your reproductive identity with your professional aspirations, AMWA is here to support you through one-on-one and group sessions with Dr. Aurelie Athan. Whether you’re contemplating family planning, facing infertility, or balancing career demands with personal goals, these sessions provide a dedicated space to thoughtfully consider your reproductive choices with greater clarity and intention. 

Dr. Athan is a reproductive psychologist with over 15 years of experience, dedicated to empowering health professionals to make informed decisions throughout their reproductive life journeys. Please join her in exploring topics of your choice such as:

• Reproductive Identity Development: Understanding how your personal, professional, and cultural identity may be shaping your reproductive choices.
• Fertility Decision-Making: Navigating the emotional, ethical, and practical considerations involved in deciding to opt-in or out of family building or family expansion.
• Balancing Career and Family: Strategies for integrating your professional plans with your personal life, particularly in high-demand careers like medicine.
• Reproductive and Mental Wellbeing: Maintaining emotional health during fertility decision-making and the impact of these experiences on your overall wellbeing.
