Call for Sex and Gender Medicine Proposals for AMWA 2026 Annual Meeting

The American Medical Women’s Association’s Sex and Gender Health Collaborative (AMWA-SGHC) is inviting proposals from physicians and researchers for our 111th Annual Meeting held March 27-29, 2026, in San Francisco, California.

We are curating a Sex and Gender track during our annual meeting, and welcome proposals for 45-minute workshops and interactive sessions that advance the clinical practice, scientific research, and public health impact of sex- and gender-based medicine (SGBM). Potential topics include curricular integration of SGBM, bridging translational research to clinical practice, strides or setbacks in women’s health, and much more!

This year’s theme celebrates the strength, resilience, and vision of those who are transforming medicine from the inside out–leading with purpose, thriving in community, and serving with heart. Find more information on the conference here.

Submit your proposal by November 8, 2025.

For your submission, please include:

  • Session title,
  • Authors & their affiliations,
  • Session Abstract (250 words).

Note: We recognize that some institutions and grant funders may have messaging constraints in relation to terminology. AMWA will work with all accepted speakers to adapt our messaging (session titles, descriptions, etc.) to align with institutional and grant guidelines. Please note if you have any constraints in your submission so that our team can collaborate with you on this.

Thank you, and we look forward to reading your submissions!
