At this year’s American College of Physicians Internal Medicine Meeting, the American Medical Women’s Association was present alongside thousands of physicians, trainees, and leaders from across the country. At the AMWA booth, we enjoyed meeting hundreds of ACP members who became new AMWA affiliate members!

The ACP meeting offers a broad view of internal medicine—from clinical updates to policy discussions and workforce challenges. For AMWA members in attendance, it was an opportunity to listen, learn, and engage in conversations shaping the future of care.

One of the featured speakers at the Annual Women in Medicine Luncheon was Dr. Marion McCrary, recent AMWA board member and Program Co-Director of AMWA EVOLVE, AMWA’s signature leadership certification program for residents and fellows.

Key themes of the meeting – chronic disease, health equity, physician well-being, and evolving models of care – closely align with AMWA’s longstanding focus on improving the health of women and supporting women physicians across their careers.

AMWA members are well represented within ACP leadership, as speakers, coaches, poster presenters, award winners, past and present governors and chairs, fellows and masters, and more.
