Dr. Susan Hingle, AMWA President, and Dr. Eliza Chin, AMWA Executive Director, were honored to represent the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) at the President and First Lady’s annual holiday party at the White House, an event filled with warmth, gratitude, and holiday cheer. The evening brought together leaders, changemakers, and advocates who have dedicated their efforts to making a meaningful impact in their communities and beyond.
In his address to the attendees, the President spoke with heartfelt conviction about the profound work accomplished over the past four years to improve people’s lives. Reflecting on the progress made and the collective efforts of those in the room, he expressed his deep appreciation for the role each guest has played in shaping a brighter future.
“The White House is the People’s House,” the President stated, emphasizing his vision of inclusivity and accessibility. He underscored the importance of opening the doors of this historic residence to those who are actively contributing to the nation’s progress — a reminder of the collective power of individuals and organizations like AMWA in writing new chapters in our nation’s history.
For AMWA, the evening was not only a celebration of the season but also our gratitude in having had the opportunity to work with this administration in so many different areas to improve the health of women.
“Attending the White House event to recognize nonprofit partners was a humbling experience, celebrating the incredible work being done to strengthen communities and make a lasting impact across the nation,” said AMWA President Dr. Susan Hingle.
