AMWA Literary – Special Guest Speaker Dr. Maria Bucco

Creating space to receive and process these stories can support us as physicians in personal and sustaining ways. Join the AMWA Literary Group and Dr. Maria Bucco for a Narrative Medicine workshop, and experience the power of the humanities and self-reflective writing in the community.

About the Speaker
Dr. Maria Bucco is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Philadelphia College Of Osteopathic Medicine. In her pursuit of medicine, she has always sought to incorporate the humanities, obtaining a double major in biology, Italian language and literature at the University of Pittsburgh. While she completed her premed curriculum and a research project, her studies in the Italian department sustained her soul. Dr. Bucco again found renewal in the humanities, embracing the arts with other healthcare providers. .
